We believe in a Territory where all young people have the opportunity to reach and realise their full potential.

As teachers in the Territory, we have seen firsthand how our students face additional hurdles to fulfilling their career aspirations and accessing valuable professional networks by virtue of nothing more than their postcode. Passionate, intelligent and motivated young people are playing in the proverbial ‘minor league’ and we want to help take them to the next level.

Inspired by organisations doing similar work in diverse regions, such as Boundless, we want to assist young people in high schools across the Territory in accessing competitive work experience opportunities at leading professional organisations. We have compiled a network of workplaces who are excited and eager to take on work experience students, and we are happy to facilitate the process of organising the work experience placements together with schools and careers advisors. We also provide resources to ensure the work experience week is meaningful and engaging for student participants. By helping students make the most of these work experience opportunities, we can reignite their passion for their future careers or redefine their career pathways.

We are a small and highly committed team of teachers who have experience teaching in regional and remote schools in the Territory and broad connections within the professional community. Through our shared connections, we hope in turn to connect students in the Territory with the skills, knowledge and resources to achieve their dreams.

The sky is the limit.

Blue Sky Connect are currently assisting with workplace placements for high school students in the Darwin, Palmerston and Katherine regions.
